Happy, Healthy Dogs

Who we are

I didn’t set out to be a dog breeder. I grew up on this farm in the Outaouais valley. Cows, horses and of course a LOT of dogs were my childhood companions. I guess a lot of little girls dream of becoming a veterinarian, a nurse or a police officer at some point, and I was no exception. After my parents took me to see the RCMP Musical Ride, I knew I would one day find myself riding these beautiful black horses.

When I went to University, I sidetracked into psychology, then explored the world of archeology and finally ended up applying to become a RCMP officer. This meant a lot of transfers, travels and dealing with law infractions, including animal cruelty cases. Time and time again, I visited anonymous kennels. It never failed - the kennels were dirty, dogs were sick, overpopulated, left in cages and uncared for. My coworkers hearts were broken, and so was mine.

It came to me in 2000 in one of those “a-ha” moments. I couldn t change the world but, I could certainly try and do my share. I finally knew what I had to do. I started planning a dream estate for dogs, where they could run free, be loved, pampered and cared for and still produce high end designer dogs. I purchased Red Dog Stable in 2003 after completing my last tour of duty with the RCMP Musical ride. After retiring from the RCMP, I decided to expend Red Dog Stable and established Red Dog Canine Center Inc.

I would like to thank all of our faithful and loyal clients that have helped make Red Dog Canine Center Inc the family it is today.

It’s about family, WE CARE. A LOT. We are a family-owned and operated company placing a premium on professional care, exquisitely appointed facilities and unique services. In business since 2000, we have grown to include Goldendoodles, Sheepadoodles and Irish Doodles.

Our breeding facility is family oriented and selective. Our main objective is the quality of breeding instead of quantity of available puppies. Our puppies are born under close supervisor in a sanitized, designated whelping area which converts as they grow into a larger atrium, and have full access to an outdoor obstacle course to further expend their socialization.

Our breeding dogs reside in their homes with their families and only come to us for breeding.

Our Family. Our Home.

I grew up on this farm. We decided to buy it back so we could raise our child on it the same way I grew up... running through fields with my dogs, playing in the creeks and riding horses.

  • 16 acres of pasture land
  • a river runs through it
